ADJUSTABLE DOOR FRAME STEEL FRAME ZOS CASING The Steel Frame Casing is a solution which lets you forget about problems related to non-standard hinge spacing in the existing frame, non-standard strike plate positions or sizes, and very common non-standard rebate (lip) dimensions. To complete a quick and hassle-free in- stallation on the existing frame, you only need to remove the existing hinges, but only if they protrude beyond the outline of the lining. The frame can also be manufactured to any clear width. This provides you with unlimited use on existing frames that are significantly crooked. Up to 6 mm of curvature can be compensated in the existing frame. Unless the existing frame has been warped by over 6 mm during its lifetime, there are no reasons not to install a standard Steel Frame Casing and hang a typical door leaf on it. The standard ZOS 80 can be installed in the door open- ing of an existing door frame with dimensions ranging from 794 mm to 800 mm. Curvatures outside 6 mm require you order the ZOS to a custom size. In this case, please note that the door leaf must also be customised to suit the dimensions of the Steel Frame Casing. Another solution for curvatures exceeding 6 mm would involve removing one vertical piece of the existing frame, which will then enable the installation of a standard ZOS and a standard door leaf. The Steel Frame Casing can also be made in the form of a “tunnel”. Every door leaf in our range can be made to measure to fit the ZOS width and height.
