The afore- mentioned 6 mm curvature tolerance is also the suggested assembly clearance (3 mm on each side). If the currently mounted frame, during its lifetime, did not become warped or is only slightly warped (within 3 mm on each side), there will be no contraindications to apply a standard steel frame installation, and suspend a typical door leaf on it. To check the possibility for a standard ZOS to be applied, measure the width, and the clear height of the existing door frame. The width should be measured at four places: at the height of the lower and upper hinge, lock and threshold. The clear height should be measured at three spots: in the corners and in the middle of the width of the existing frame. Additionally, check the right angles in the upper and lower corners of the existing door frame. Such measurement will help determine or exclude the cur- vature in the existing frame. It is suggested that on ZOS-mounted door leaves long, narrow handle fascia should be mounted. This is associated with the reduction in the door frame clear width by 30 mm, without the need to change the door leaf width. Each steel frame installation is accompanied by a detailed assembly manual with an additional description of indi- vidual components of the set.
